Official: Medvedev says personal income tax rise to 15% improbable

MOSCOW, May 8 (PRIME) -- Candidate for the post of prime minister Dmitry Medvedev said that plans to raise the personal income tax to 15% from 13% will most probably not be fulfilled, First Deputy Chairman of the Party A Just Russia Mikhail Yemelyanov told PRIME on Tuesday.

“He (Medvedev) made a not too optimistic comment about the increase of the personal income tax to 15% from 13%. He said that it is not a fact that it will be fulfilled,” Yemelyanov said.

He also quoted Medvedev as blaming the unimpressive performance of the Russian economy on the anti-Russian sanctions.
